NOTHING... and "HE" would be my PCP! I have been awaiting "HIM" to do something/anything... BUT, I must be a case "HE" cannot deal with, one "HE" would actually have to work with and "HE" is incapable.
I imagine the simple things coming easy... The runny nose, scratchy throat, cough, etc., as these are not much of a challenge to "HIS" education and/or intelligence! Heck, all that med-school money; we would not want "HIM" wasting it all!
Yet, something in "HIM" falters when it comes to me... hmmm
Oh, yes I remember now!! It is the simple fact that I DO advocate for my own health care and well-being; that because he could not seem to refer me out, I found my own specialist and "HE" still could NOT recall that 2 years later.
So... now threatened what does "HE" do? The only thing he can... withhold medication, and have the Nurse(s) do "HIS" dirty work by making the phone calls to me. "HE" will not even man-up and answer an e-mail.
Yet, I will be "that patient" that now challenges his every professional move, choice, and decision. With my husband by my side "HE" may have met more than he ever anticipated. How dare any person take money for services NOT rendered, just because they have letters after their name? My husband and I, too, share letters after our name... T K O
Thanks for letting me rant!
This is my trip with AI diseases ... yep, more than one; and my stories.... Don't forget: Do something for YOU today!

Happy Birthday to US!
That is right... today I am celebrating a third birthday with a group of women who are AMAZING!!
Back in December of 2007 I joined a "socialization" website called CafeMom.... I had NO idea that today, I would have the sisters I have!
While here, I joined some groups (not for me at all) some were too young, some were to vulgar, and the groups that were for the "over 40 crowd" were too large or too dramatic (yes, at 40)! So my on-line BFF..Shirley and I decided we had had enough and started our own private over 40 group... we invited those women who warmed and touched our heart.... WOW were we right to do this!!
Together (about) 16 of us have mulled through the times... we have walked together in happiness, sadness, sickness, gr'babies, birthdays, anniversaries, death, HUSBAND/KID drama and just plain LIFE. But we NEVER have again, walked alone!
My heart is filled daily with the knowledge that I am so blessed to have these women in my life. Yes, some of us have met up in person (the thing you always tell you kids not to do; we did) and it was MORE than worth it!
So here is my appreciation and love BACK to all the girls of The Daily Dilemma!

Let's Hear it for the Boys....
(no not mine at home, that is an entirely different blog).
I am talking about the NY Giants..!! WTG. What a nail-bitter that was.. right to the last 5 seconds.
And to think the Manning MaMa gets yet ANOTHER trophy from her boys... imagine the pride in that home!
The commercials, surprisingly, were pretty good! E-trade baby (eh, not so much this time).
But, alas, Football season is over ho hum. And, I have to find something else to fill my short-term memory with, but WHAT?
Speaking of short term memory.. I have yet another appointment today... for my cognitive "difficulties"... wonder if she would mind if I talked Football?
Do something for YOU today!

To Be a Child
~~ to share with you all, another poem I wrote
A loving smile...
Mussed up hair...
Fingerprints upon the
mirror.
Muddy shoe prints
tracked inside...
Doors left standing
open wide.
Made up stories....
Gentle hugs...
Fresh dried "blankies"
Warm and snug.
Each one different
yet the same...
Playing silly, foolish games.
Papers on the fridge
are hung.
Tears are wiped
one by one.
Abundant love...
Energy galore...
Who could ask
for anything MORE?

They should all be made....
... like my daddy!
I swear they should. My dad, always made sure he was the best family man. He would start the cars in the morning, to warm them up before we got in them, he would make stops at the bakery and get us each our faves, took us trick-or-treating TWICE in the same night (although, it is possible it was more for him than us) and he worked, he worked so hard!!
Yes, I have said before that he may have shown that he was a great husband sometimes better than a dad, but the older I get I know that is not true. Yes, he made sure his wife was more than taken care of (financially, physically, and emotionally) but he was also the parent at every school function, the one that taught us sports, the one that woke us in the morning.
I know of many other fathers that just thought work was enough, and then some that thought staying home was enough.... neither are true. MY daddy, is an extra hard worker ... to be sure his family wanted for nothing.I could go on and and about my daddy. He is the epitome of a great man, father, and husband! Still when I am having a "not so good day" I wish I was that lil girl again. (I am having a "not so good day"; think I will call him.)

A Man (my Man) and HIS Dog!
Good Sunday all my family and friends.. may you receive blessings from Heaven!
I have to say that between my mattress and MS I have a horrible time sleeping as the pain (especially in my legs) becomes TOO much. Well, as a result I have taken to sleeping in a therapeutic bed (in a different room from my husband). Yes, this is stressful at times in and of itself, as I cherish his body next to mine, and laying in his arms. However, it appears that our dog, Buster has found this to be a HUGE opportunity. (Our two Boxers, are our babies.)
The other morning, as I tumbled from "my" bed and made my way out of the bedroom, I looked down the hall into "our" bedroom, and was puzzled as it looked like the entire bed was FULL. As I walked toward the bed, it appeared... Buster was "spooning" my hubs! LMBO... For real, his head was on the pillow and he was pushed up right against his back.
HMPF... I thought, WOW this dog really thinks he won, he has it made... his "master" and best friend really do now belong to him... no more sharing. Before I thought to get the camera, Buster notices I was awake, meaning.. time for breakfast. Although, I did not get "the" picture this one shows you the love between a man and his dog:

(now this was taken years ago!) somethings never change!
Last night, AHA... I won! I tried my hardest to sleep in bed with MY husband... and if looks could kill:

Thank Goodness for Football
Yes, thank goodness for football, moreover, the Green Bay Packers!
Here is something I can do which requires no thought of MS, no thought of doctor appointments, medication or the like. This is MY something!
See originally I am from Chicago, so you know what this does to my family... "I am a trader?" Says who? Most of my co-hort Chicagoans! "How could you? A "cheesehead"? Really?" Each and every time I respond with a LOUD and PROUD ... Y E S, and you should think of going green yourselves! (They would NEVER).
Football season is drawing to a close... sigh
Yet I KNOW... Duh Bears ... never had a chance - poke to my family/friends. Yet, Green Bay all the way! Football offers me a chance of off the cuff laughter, good ole fun, and a chance to "rub it in" just a little. So here I tip my hat to the Pack, and thank them for allowing me a brief moment to forget MS... and to remember Bears Suck... lol
But, alas, I did not "just become a GB fan", I was there for all the years of good ole number 4, Farve.... and am still here for Aaron! Thus the siggy
